Control Room The control room is 250 square feet. It's pretty comfortable with a fluffly couch at the back end. Both the main tracking room and drum rooms can be easily seen through the picture window. Acoustically the room was designed to clearly assess the low end and treated to minimize any room reflections, giving a sonically accurate representation of the mix.
Tracking Room The tracking room is 250 square feet. It's easily comfortable to shove 4 or 5 sweaty dudes in there and has more than adequate ventilation and air conditioning. The room is acoustically dead and can achieve excellent separation between guitar amplifiers without any extra baffling. Lines of sight are maintained between the drummer and the rest of the band through the large sliding glass door separating the drum room from the tracking room. It was important when designing the layout that we had the capability to track bands live, and since opening have often tracked drums, bass, and two guitar amps all in one shot with excellent track separation.
Drum Room The drum room is 150 square feet. It's much more live than the tracking room, with just enough room treatment to disperse flutter echoes. The room dimensions were designed to avoid mode build-ups, ensuring a solid low end and lower midrange frequency response. It has a good solid sound for tracking vocals and acoustic instruments as well. The drummer or whoever is performing can easily see other members of the band in the tracking room or the engineer in the control room through the large sliding glass doors and windows between rooms.
Lounge If you need to relax while another band member is doing overdubs, take a dinner break, or a nap the lounge is pretty cozy. There's also a fridge with plenty of cold bottled water.
